Motiram Baburam Govt. Post Graduate College or MBPG College (Hindi: मोतीराम बाबूराम राजकिय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय) is leading government college of Kumaun University situated at Haldwani city of Nainital district in Uttarakhand state of India. Established in 1960, the college is serving the largest catchment area of the state of in Shivalik foothills. The college draws passouts from over 50 intermediate colleges in Nainital and neighboring districts.
MBPG College is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital. The college offers Graduation, Post Graduation and Professional Courses, including Teachers' Training Programme (B Ed). For Teachers' Training Programme, the college is recognised by National Council for Teachers' Education (NCTE). The college is enjoying the status of 'Ideal College' since the academic year 2004-05.
== College History ==

MB Government Post Graduate College (MBGPG College), Haldwani, is a leading institution of higher education in the Kumaon region with 54 years of education service. The college is located in the foothills of the Shivaliks and upholds the largest catchment area of the State of Uttarakhand, feeding more than 50 intermediate colleges of this area in Nainital district.
The college was established under management of Motiram Baburam Educational Trust in July 1960. Till 1973 this college was affiliated to Agra University, Agra, and later with the establishment of Kumaun University, Nainital in 1974, the college was affiliated to Kumaun University.
In 1982 the college was provincialised by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in public interest. Since then this college is totally government funded. Since 1987 the college has a study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University providing array of programmes/courses through distance mode of education to a large number of learners of this area.
The objectives of this college sprout out of an interactive symbiosis, wherein the environment monitors and implements adherence to these objective. Interactions consist of flows of inputs from the environment to the college and flows of outputs from the collage to the environment in form of knowledge, information, vocational training, skilled human resources, new comprehension and analysis, paradigm shifting, advocacy and activism pertaining regional development and growth. The College’s relevant environment consists of all those bodies that provide it input and utilise its outputs. This implies that the college will receive support as long as it sustains the delivery if outputs consistent with its objectives.
At present under Arts, Commerce and Education faculties 20 department are working at the Undergraduate level and 16 departments at the Postgraduate levels.

With the aim of enhancing the quality of professional education in the state, various professional courses have been launched in the college. Students will have the opportunity to combine traditional courses in Yoga, Interior Decoration, Biotechnology, Shikhar Computer Education Programme, etc.
